Dr. Karen Adams

Dr. Karen Adams has dedicated her career to caring for women during their midlife transition and is an absolute expert in menopause.

As a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she founded and directed the Menopause and Sexual Medicine Program at the Oregon Health and Science University Centre for Women's Health, which provides comprehensive health care for women in peri-menopause and beyond.  What sets Dr Adams apart is her special focus on women's sexuality in the second half of life, helping women embrace their vitality and joy in this new phase.

Dr. Adams is now embarking on a new adventure as she joins Stanford to build and lead the Program for aging well. Her passion for educating women and their loved ones about the realities of menopause is truly inspiring.  She does this through her annual "A Toast to Midlife" workshops, where women can come together to learn and connect. And if that's not enough, Dr. Adams has also launched her podcast, "Midlife Life with Dr. Karen," to share even more information and insights. Her TED Talk, "Sleep, Sex and Menopause Zest," has over 140,000 views.  Adams truly cares about empowering women with knowledge and helping them feel their best during this exciting and transformative time in their lives.
